Machine Operators

Workhorse Staffing are currently recruiting for multiple positions with a growing manufacturing client based in Cleveland, with a brand-new purpose-built facility currently under construction in Stapylton.

The business is expected to begin transitioning operations from Cleveland to the new Stapylton facility from December.

We are currently seeking experienced candidates for the following positions:

• Cold Saw Operator | Afternoon Shift
• Plasma Operator | Afternoon Shift
• Yardhand / Forklift Operator | Afternoon Shift
• HR HIAB Driver | Day Shift
  
  These are ongoing opportunities with the potential for long-term employment for the right candidates.
  
  About the roles
  
  Cold Saw Operator
• Operate cold saw machinery to cut steel and other materials
• Read and follow cutting specifications and production requirements
• Measure materials and check finished cuts for accuracy
• Perform basic machine adjustments and setup
• Maintain a safe and tidy work area
  
  Plasma Operator
• Operate plasma cutting machinery
• Read and interpret cutting requirements
• Load and position materials
• Monitor cutting processes and finished products
• Complete quality checks and basic machine adjustments
  
  Yardhand / Forklift Operator
• General yard and material handling duties
• Loading and unloading materials
• Moving steel and other materials around the yard
• Operating forklifts
• Maintaining an organised and safe yard
• Assisting the production team as required
  
  HR HIAB Driver
• Drive HR vehicles and operate HIAB equipment
• Deliver and collect materials as required
• Load and unload materials safely
• Assist with general yard duties when required
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks
• Follow all site safety requirements
  
  About you
  
  We are looking for reliable and experienced candidates who have:
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, steel or industrial environment
• Relevant experience operating machinery, forklifts or HIAB equipment depending on the position
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current licences and tickets relevant to the position
